Big Eyes

It is refreshing to see Tim Burton take on another live film, his first since Ed Wood, and even more intriguing that he chose the unappreciated and oft-scrutinized painter Margaret Keane (played by Amy Adams)  as his subject. Big Eyes covers Keane’s divorce from her husband Walter (Christoph Waltz) who for years took credit for her signature style and work. The story is relevant in that it tackles the subject of male chauvinism. The movie also shows growth in Tim Burton who for years has been criticized for his artistic monotony. Aside from all of that, can Christoph Waltz do any wrong?
